About the role:
As an accomplished performance marketing specialist, you’ll be a senior leader within our business with the critical job of ensuring we hit sales targets. You’ll build and manage new B2B marketing practices for Momentum, working closely with our sales team. You’ll also continue to optimise our B2C performance marketing activity. Ensuring prospects are delivered to both our digital and telesales teams and that we’re focused on optimising conversion to sales.
While we have a long history of running direct response advertising to deliver residential energy sales, the B2B space is newer for us. We’re looking for a candidate with a deep background in this space. Someone who’s able to understand the requirements and set us up in this newer world of B2B acquisition.
What you’ll do:
• You’ll plan, execute, and optimise all online performance focused advertising. Developing a library/calendar of sales focused messages and campaign opportunities to drive prospects and sales across residential and business segments. You’ll work with our talented in-house Studio to deliver all campaign creative, and with our media agency to execute campaigns. You’ll monitor and analyse the performance of marketing initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations to refine strategies.
• With a head for numbers, you’ll deliver regular reporting to our business including weekly performance updates, monthly reports and updates in other forums across the business, delivering valuable, datadriven insights that will help our business make decisions to impact or support sales or retention activity. Similarly you’ll work closely with our media agency to ensure all advertising activity is optimised to hit goals and efficiency metrics.
• You’ll participate in forecasting and target setting processes across the business and support any reforecasting activity as required. You’ll be able to understand and articulate the resourcing required to deliver targets and will be an advocate for this to the wider business.
•You’ll work with our media agency to identify and trial new advertising channels, looking for new ways to effectively reach and convert our target audience.
• You’ll own our B2B marketing activity. Planning, implementing, and reporting on all activity including, but not limited to digital advertising, direct mail, press ads, content development and events.
• You’ll ensure our sales team are well equipped for their activity, including preparing them for any events, expos or conferences they attend.
• As a people leader you’ll be responsible for leading a small but high-performing team.
What you’ll bring:
• You’ll have robust experience working in marketing with a particular focus on direct response advertising and B2B marketing.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, high-performing team.
• You’re highly analytical, with an ability to understand and interpret reporting including Google Analytics and in-house Power BI reports.
• You’ll have strong excel skills to model forecasts and provide other reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to run campaigns from end-to-end. You understand the problem or opportunity, can brief creative and media, make decisions, book and place advertising and report on the impact.
• Strong understanding of media buying, particularly in the direct response space including a strong understating of SEM.
• You have outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and procurement processes.
• Understand how to work in a heavily regulated industry. You know how to work collaboratively and productively with Legal and Compliance teams who’ll become your new work besties.
• Leadership experience with an ability to motivate team members, allowing them to develop their skills and experience.
