The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for the full time position of Administration Officer, Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing commencing as soon as possible.
The role is an integral part of the work of the Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing (ILW) service area, specifically as a member of the Wellbeing and Student Support team. The Wellbeing and Student Support team has a focus on supporting students with diverse learning, social, emotional, behavioural and wellbeing needs across the diocesan system of schools.
The successful applicant will be required to work closely with members of the Wellbeing and Student Support team and the broader ILW service area to perform a diverse range of secretarial and administrative functions.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The position involves:
- Contributing to the implementation of the system strategic plan, as stated in Lighting the Way
- Working collaboratively with staff across CEO service areas, schools, related pastoral works of the Diocese, suppliers and other third parties
- Day to day administration support including data entry, calendar management, booking resources, attending meetings and minute taking
- Preparation of agenda, reports, presentations, and professional learning materials
- Maintaining accurate records, resource ordering and payment of invoices.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA:
- A commitment to the mission and purpose of Catholic Education and the broader Catholic Church
- Proficiency and experience with Google, MS Office and digital business applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required
- A positive attitude to innovation and change, and ability to take initiative and implement improved efficiencies in processes.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Experience working in an educational environment
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum of three years experience in an office environment and in general office processes and procedures.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment at CEDoW.
