Expressions of interest are invited for the temporary appointment of Acting Team Leader, Wellbeing and Student Support, for all of Term 3 2025.

As part of the broader Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing (ILW) service area, the Wellbeing and Student Support (WSS) team plays a critical role in partnering with schools to address the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Drawing on expertise in student wellbeing, including educational psychology and system-level case collaboration, the team provides both responsive and preventative support across a broad range of areas. These include complex enrolments, behavioural and mental health concerns, student attendance, and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) for students with disability.

The WSS team also supports schools in fostering safe and inclusive environments through the implementation of the Positive Behaviours for Learning (PB4L) Framework. In addition, the team leads initiatives in high potential and gifted education, road safety, respectful relationships and the coordination of diocesan sport, contributing to the holistic development and flourishing of all students in CEDoW schools.

This senior leadership opportunity offers the chance to lead a committed and skilled team delivering high-quality, responsive wellbeing and inclusion support. Reporting to the Head of Wellbeing and Student Support, the Acting Team Leader will play a key collaborative role in driving the team’s strategic direction and coordinating the operational processes that underpin effective service delivery.

A key focus of the role is the coordination of day-to-day support for team members, as well as the facilitation of pod and macro team meetings. The successful applicant will engage with the structures and processes that are in place to support a collaborative, agile and impact-driven team culture, aligned with the goals of the Lighting the Way strategic plan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a leader with a strong background in student wellbeing, inclusive education, and school/system leadership to make a meaningful contribution to the leadership and work of the Wellbeing and Student Support team in Term 3.

Expressions of interest should include a rationale for applying, along with a summary of relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.

For further information or to submit an expression of interest, please contact Kerryn Barnett - Head of Wellbeing and Student Support via email: barnettk01@dow.catholic.edu.au by 11.55pm 9 June 2025.
