Expressions of interest are invited for application for the temporary full-time role of Acting VET/RTO Manager, Learning K-12. Commencing Friday, 27 June 2025, until Friday, 5 September 2025.

As part of the broader Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing (ILW) service area, the Learning K-12 team plays a critical role in partnering with schools to support, challenge and extend the practice and pedagogy of teachers and leaders in the Diocese. The Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong is the RTO for systemic and congregational schools within the Diocese. 

The position is responsible for the delivery of VET programs in partnership with schools and external providers. 

As part of the Learning K-12 Team, this temporary position requires significant experience in Vocational Education and Training within the secondary curriculum and the capacity to support secondary schools in the implementation of compliance and continuous improvement requirements of the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong RTO.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Applicants will need to provide evidence of: 

• A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of a Catholic school within the broader evangelising mission of the Catholic Church.
• A demonstrated understanding of RTO compliance requirements with ASQA and demonstrated experience of VET in schools for a minimum of three years.
• Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills with a particular capacity to inspire staff, bring about change and work collaboratively in a team.
• A capacity to work with schools and teachers to ensure quality VET outcomes.
• The ability to form strong partnerships with industry and other providers.
• The ability to design and deliver quality professional learning experiences for middle leaders and VET trainers.
