The Executive Director of Schools, Diocese of Wollongong, invites expressions of interest for the temporary full time position of Recruitment Officer from 12 August 2025 until 29 September 2025. This position exists to replace an existing team member on a temporary basis whilst they undertake a period of leave.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Talent Acquisition and Employee Services team is responsible for ensuring the attraction, selection and retention of high quality candidates across Teaching, Professional and Support Staff roles. This role provides employee services and recruitment support to the schools of the Diocese of Wollongong, including:

  • Coordinating end to end recruitment campaigns and supporting school-based employees with the processing of applications

  • Processing the onboarding of new starters including letters of offer, remuneration and pay details, and systems set-up

  • Supporting schools with a range of employee services tasks including statements of service, flexible work agreements, casual approval applications, resignations and employee offboarding

  • Responding to general recruitment enquiries

  • Supporting other People and Culture projects

ABOUT YOU

To achieve success in the role, the successful candidate will be someone with:

  • A Commitment to supporting the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a high volume administrative environment with an ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong proficiency working with digital systems and online applications including Google Docs

  • The ability to work both independently and with a collaborative approach to working in a team

  • Excellent attention to detail in administrative processes

  • A strong customer service orientation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications in a relevant field (certificate, diploma or degree), and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.
