The Director of Schools invites applicants from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for a temporary part time position commencing 31 January 2025 until 19 December 2025.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management, including a focus on the development of academic English language proficiency (EAL/D).

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:

• A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Ability to support children’s individual learning in the classroom.
• Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Technical competence in appropriate technologies.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

• Previous experience in similar settings.
• Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent, including undergraduate teachers
• Experience with the PB4L framework.

The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:

• Well developed written and oral communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent, including undergraduate teachers.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.
