A temporary part time position (working Friday) commencing 31 January 2025 until 19 December 2025. This role requires delivery of the Music, Dance and Drama components of the CAPA Syllabus.

The role of Creative Arts Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential. 

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in teaching Music, Dance and Drama is desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
  • Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
