St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population nearing 1570 students in 2025. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the college is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis has finalised its new, modern 7th Stage of building development and offers state-of-the-art learning & specialist KLA facilities.
A temporary full time parental leave replacement position commencing 28 April 2025 (start date negotiable) until 3 April 2026.
The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:

QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
- Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE
This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
