The Director of Schools, Diocese of Wollongong, invites applications for a permanent full time administrative role in the Leadership and Professional Growth Team commencing as soon as possible.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Model Catholic values by providing a welcoming, respectful, collaborative and inclusive reception service for Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong.
  • Under the direction of the Team Leader, manage the organisation and administration of Senior Leadership Appraisals for Schools and Catholic Education Office including scheduling, documentation, stakeholder communication, and maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • Provide high-level administrative support for Professional Learning within a system of schools and a central office environment
  • Coordinate financial administration processes such as sourcing quotes, managing invoicing, and maintaining records, demonstrating a clear administrative understanding of budget systems and financial protocols.
  • Prepare and provide accurate HR statistics and workforce data as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement administrative efficiencies to enhance team operations and workflows.

ABOUT YOU

  • Extensive experience in providing high level administrative support and demonstrated acumen in the completion of projects and tasks in a professional and timely manner
  • Ability to meet deadlines and support professional learning opportunities under the Direction of the Team Leader for Leadership and Professional Growth
  • Ability to project manage tasks from end to end such as the administrative requirements of an appraisal process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Capability of dealing with diverse groups and maintaining confidentiality. 
  • Skills in guiding staff through HRS systems, and to provide advice and guidance as required.
  • Ability to problem solve using good analytical skills and implement efficient administrative solutions.
  • High level skills in Information Communication and Technology (ICT) including: desktop publishing, data-base management, Google Drive, and the various Microsoft Office suite of software applications.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Certificate or Diploma qualification in an appropriate discipline (business, commerce,
  • administration) or equivalent
  • Experience in providing high level administrative support as an executive assistant or to a team
  • Demonstrated experience working to strict deadlines in a high volume environment
  • Commitment to supporting the mission of Catholic Education
  • Positive interpersonal skills, including high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to respond and adapt to change

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.
