The Senior School Support Officer (SSSO) is a senior role in the area of administration within the school. The role exists to support the Principal and school community in achieving the vision and mission of the school, ensuring growth in faith and improvement in learning for all students.
The SSSO collaborates closely with the Principal and School Leadership to oversee a diverse array of responsibilities, tailored to meet the unique needs of the school community. As a leadership position within the school, the SSSO will oversee staff and play a critical role in guiding the administrative functions of the school.
Essential Selection Criteria/Key responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Ability to lead and manage the school’s daily administrative systems and processes.
- Experience in accounting processes, data systems and the ability to lead financial management procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain the administration of system accountabilities and legislative requirements.
Desirable Selection Criteria.
- Previous experience in similar settings.
- Knowledge of Technology One financial software.
- Knowledge of Compass student management system.
General Capabilities
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Technical competence in relevant technologies i.e. Google workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
- Positive attitude to innovation and change.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Undertake the provision of first aid and administration of medications for students as required.
- Liaise with parents, visitors, school and system staff on school administrative, financial matters, WHS, asset and facilities requirements.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate IV in Business Administration or a commitment to acquiring.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Minimum of five years administration/office management experience.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE
This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.
