The Organisation
The Catholic Education Office Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) supports 38 Catholic schools across the Illawarra, Macarthur, Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven. CEDoW serves over 19,000 students and engages over 3,000 staff in full-time, part-time, temporary and casual roles. It exists to cultivate dynamic, faith-centred communities where families, parishes and educators partner to equip young people with the moral grounding, critical thinking and resilience needed to flourish in a complex, changing world.
Guided by the core values of Hope, Integrity, Justice and Compassion, CEDoW embeds the Gospel’s ethos into every aspect of school life. Hope fuels confidence that challenges can be met and a brighter future achieved; Integrity ensures ethical stewardship, transparency and accountability; Justice upholds fairness, respect for diversity and the dignity of each person; Compassion inspires outreach and service to those in need. Together, these values shape policies and practices that nurture safe, inclusive environments where staff and students alike can thrive.
