A temporary part time position commencing 27 January 2026 until 17 December 2026.

This role involves supporting our woodwork teachers and maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop environment in our TAS faculty. 

This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:

  • A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Ability to support children’s individual learning in the classroom.
  • Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
  • Technical competence in appropriate technologies.
  • Assist teachers with preparation and maintenance of workshop materials and equipment.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Previous experience in similar settings.
  • Practical experience in woodwork or related trades.

  • Well developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate

This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.
