A temporary part time parental leave replacement position commencing 16 March 2026 until 25 September 2026.

The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across dance and drama.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Creative Arts K–6 Syllabus developed by the NSW Education Standards Authority, with particular expertise in Dance and Drama.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that develop students’ essential knowledge and skills
  • Proven capacity to create safe, supportive and well-managed practical learning environments that foster creativity, collaboration and student confidence in Dance and Drama, while differentiating learning to meet the diverse needs of primary students.

The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
  • Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
