THE OPPORTUNITY
The Executive Director of Schools invites applicants from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this permanent full time position of Administrative Officer - Reception. Part time applications will be considered.
Reporting to the Operations and Administrative Services Manager, this position exists to support the front counter administrative requirements of Reception Services within the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong across its various locations, including at the Office of Bishop, in the Xavier Centre, Wollongong. Applicants will be supportive of the ethos and mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong and understand the key purpose of this position as a focused customer service role, ultimately serving the needs of the students and staff in our Catholic schools.
YOUR IMPACT
As the face of the front counter, you will be responsible for:
- Administrative support and front of house reception duties as required
- Answering the main phone line, front office parking assistance, weekly stationery order preparation and submission, overseeing the daily office mail register, assistance with meeting room calendar bookings.
- Stock management and inventory control
- Provide event support to CEDoW staff and facilitators, including room bookings, catering support, event set up and pack up where required.
- Supporting effective and efficient central office and school-based processes
- Contributing to the implementation of the Vision and Strategic Direction of the CEDoW as stated in Lighting the Way
- Working collaboratively with staff across CEO Service Areas, work teams, schools, Diocesan Pastoral Works, and external suppliers in the delivery of event services to CEDoW
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Minimum Certificate III in Business/Administration and/or minimum of three years experience in an office or administrative environment, or front counter role.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on Customer Service
- Ability to work independently and a collaborative, cooperative approach to working in a team
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Discretion and a high level of confidentiality
- Proficiency and experience in Google and MS Office suite of applications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Example of a displayed positive approach and attitude.
- Knowledge of School environment is desirable
