St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1650 students in 2026. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.  As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12).  St Francis was founded in 2017 and offers new, state-of-the-art learning & specialist KLA facilities.

A temporary full time parental leave replacement position commencing 20 July 2026 until 25 September 2026, with the potential to extend into Term 4 until 17 December 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach PD/H/PE & Sport. The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in PD/H/PE.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Familiarity with, or a demonstrated willingness to quickly develop strong knowledge of, the new Health and Movement Science (HMS) syllabus.

GENERAL CAPABILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching in nominated Key Learning Areas (s). 
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment  with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
