St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1630 students in 2026. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis was founded in 2017 and offers new, state-of-the-art learning & specialist KLA facilities.
A temporary full time position commencing 20 July 2026 until 25 September 2026, with the possibility of extending until 17 December 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach Creative and Performing Arts (Music) and be willing to teach Photographic and Digital Media if required, across years 5-10.
The role of the Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students to reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Music.
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers, and the wider school community.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA
- Willingness to teach Photographic and Digital Media.
- The ability to teach Religious Education
GENERAL CAPABILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
- Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW. If the teacher can teach Religious Education they need to be accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with the To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CLEARANCE
This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
