THE OPPORTUNITY 

The Executive Director of Schools invites applicants from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this permanent full time position of Business and Operations Manager at Holy Spirit College, Bellambi. 

This  position within the school  will work directly with the Principal and has specific responsibilities across a range of key areas including finance, facilities and Work Health and Safety management. 

YOUR IMPACT

Responsibilities include: 

  • Working with the school’s Finance & Administration team to prepare, oversee, and track the College budget in line with CEDoW procedures
  • Coordinating school fees with leadership and managing collections, including conducting family interviews
  • Delivering accurate financial reporting and acting as the main liaison for internal and external auditors, and the Catholic Education Office
  • Developing and maintaining College finance procedures to ensure strict alignment with CEDoW policies
  • Communicating directly with the CEDoW Finance Department and evaluating contractor quotes against compliance standards

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant business/management/finance discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church
  • Proven experience at a managerial level with a strong skill set in administration, financial and facilities management
  • Ability to lead, motivate and work with people within teams and at all levels and with varying backgrounds
  • Proven ability to recognise confidential issues and treat them with the sensitivity required
  • Ability to determine and manage priorities in a fast-paced school environment and delegate appropriately
  • Ability to represent the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional way
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and be discrete
  • Effective organisational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly developed organisational and project management skills

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Experience working in an educational setting
  • Experience in finance and facilities management
