The Monash Maternal Child Health service (MCH) is situated within the Children Youth and Family Services department. This department has a strong focus on supporting infants, children and families offering innovative service delivery models to meet the needs of a contemporary community.  The Maternal Child Health program is committed to providing service excellence that is evidence based, family centered and grounded in strength-based practice.

If you’re passionate about Maternal Child Health (MCH) and Outreach services, the City of Monash has an exciting opportunity to combine the two. We are seeking an experienced MCH Nurse to support the Monash MCH center teams and assist with strengthening the current Universal and Outreach MCH program.

We are seeking a candidate who is highly motivated, flexible and agile in-service delivery with demonstrated ability to support families to access MCH services at various locations. The candidate will have demonstrated clinical experience in Maternal Child Health and primary health care with comprehensive and focused approaches to support physical, emotional and social factors affecting families. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their passion for implementing innovative strategies to support engagement, experience facilitating group programs both face to face and through online mediums. 

Applicants require following skills and qualifications:  

 

  • Qualification and registration with APHRA as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife in Vicotria
  • Qualifications in Maternal and Child Health/Family Health Nursing
  • Employee Working with Children check
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Satisfactory National Police Check completed in past 6 months
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
