We currently have opportunity available in our well establish but busy Safety team where you will work alongside and support a team of passionate safety and injury management business partners and advisors.

About the Position

Reporting to the Safety Lead, the Safety Support Officer provides business support to the Safety team with the safety management system, training compliance, software system maintenance and general administration tasks. The position will work closely with the City of Monash’s external contractors and assist contractors to meet the City of Monash safety compliance requirements. They will also assist and contribute with key health and safety initiatives and activities and support the City of Monash OHS Committees

About You

  • Experience in understanding and applying relevant legislation and guidance
  • Demonstrated experience in software system data and maintenance
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in safety auditing practices
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a proven record of effectively managing stakeholder relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team and autonomously, to prioritise tasks, solve problems independently when required

Requirements of the position

  • Satisfactory National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
