About the Position:
The Recycling Feedback Officer will assist with delivering the Recycle Right Feedback Program in the vicinity of the Monash University Clayton campus. The role involves inspecting bins and door knocking Monash households to educate folks to sort their waste correctly, as well as reduce waste generation.
The objective of the role is to support households directly with guidance on how to change behaviour and reduce contamination in food and garden waste bins through face-to-face education and targeted household feedback.
About you:
- Some experience in community engagement activities (desirable)
- Interest in achieving increased recycling and reducing contamination
- High oral and interpersonal communication with customers/public/employees to resolve minor issues.
- Availability to work Thursday and Friday, 8am - 2:30pm
- Ability to record accurate data using an iPhone
- Ability to manage timeframe, work in pairs and accountable for own work performance
Requirement of the position:
- Must be current Monash University student
- Working with Children’s Check
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
- Must have valid Victorian or interstate Drivers Licence
Desirable
- Speaks other languages, especially Mandarin
