The  Pathways Manager will be at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative career and pathways initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Learning Pathways, you will play a significant role in enhancing student access to a wide range of post-school opportunities. This position is accountable for the strategic direction and operational success of career and pathways education throughout the diocese.

About the Role:

As Pathways Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of system-wide career and pathways initiatives that broaden student access to university, vocational education, and employment opportunities.

  • Guiding and managing the implementation of career and pathways programs within our schools, ensuring they align with CSPD priorities and are responsive to the unique needs of each school community.

  • Overseeing program evaluation, data collection, and reporting processes to measure outcomes, track student destinations, and inform strategic system planning.

  • Establishing strategic partnerships with universities, TAFE, industry bodies, and other external agencies to create and promote a rich variety of career and pathway opportunities for our students.

  • Working collaboratively with CSPD learning teams and school leadership to embed best practices in career and pathways education, informed by current research, data insights, and future workforce trends.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will be a dynamic and experienced professional with a passion for empowering young people. You will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education, Careers Counselling, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within careers education, vocational education, or a similar field.

  • Proven success in designing, implementing, and evaluating programs or initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of the Australian education landscape, including the HSC, VET sector, university admissions, and emerging workforce trends.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
