The Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese seeks a dedicated, innovative, and passionate K-6 Primary Teacher to join our vibrant school community and make a meaningful impact on our students' lives at Corpus Christi Primary School, Cranebrook.

This role is Temporary Full-time, Monday-Friday.

Teachers in the Diocese work under the leadership of the Principal and contribute to the learning and teaching of subject areas for students within the school community. They are entrusted with providing high-quality, contemporary education that reflects and upholds the Catholic worldview. This role is a collaborative ministry of service and witness, integral to the Church's mission of evangelization.

Key Focus Areas

The Primary K-6 Teacher will demonstrate the following:

  • Lesson Structuring and Knowledge:
    Proficiency in designing lessons that cater to the physical, social, and intellectual development of students. A strong understanding of the content and progression of Key Learning Areas, including Religious Education, is essential.

  • Program Development and Teaching Strategies:
    A solid grasp of fundamental concepts, structures, and inquiry methods relevant to the programs they design and deliver. They implement developmentally appropriate strategies to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences for our students.

  • Learning Environment and Behaviour Management:
    The ability to establish and maintain safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environments. Teachers are skilled in implementing fair and effective behaviour management plans and continuously evaluating their teaching practices to address the diverse learning needs of their students. 

  • Teaching and Learning Cycle:
    Competence in all stages of the teaching and learning cycle, including planning, assessment, program development, teaching, feedback, and reporting to parents/carers.

  • Community Engagement:
    A commitment to actively engaging with the school community beyond the classroom to enhance the educational experience. Teachers work to strengthen connections between school, home, and the wider community, fostering both social and intellectual development for their students.

The Organisation

Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney. 

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD'S Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
