Grounds Maintenance Officer - Temporary (Full Time) – 6 Week Contract
St Patrick’s Marist College, Dundas is seeking a skilled Grounds and Maintenance person who will be responsible to support the other services of a school, including but not limited to cleaning, building and grounds maintenance.

Position Title: Non-trade Qualified Operational Services – Level 2
Reports to: Principal and/or Business Manager Temporary Full Time Grounds Maintenance Officer(6 Week Contract) COMMENCING: Immediate Start
Classification: School Operational Services Level 2
About the Opportunity:
We are accepting all applications that hold the relevant experience or qualifications which meet the criteria of our school. More specifically you will have experience in:
Carry out general handyman tasks with sound knowledge and understanding of WHS when performing minor repairs or minor maintenance tasks;
Providing assistance to qualified tradespersons in building and furniture maintenance.
Carry out general gardening tasks including mowing, under general supervision;
Manage distribution of deliveries at the school and unpacking of goods and resources;
Cleanliness of the school grounds, includes picking up rubbish after school hours, blower vacuuming and/or pressure washing, as required;
General security such as opening/closing school premises/gates
Assisting with setup of college events and functions;
Class C drivers licence (and can drive a manual vehicle)
Undertake any other duties as requested by the Principal and/or Business Manager. This may include operation of the school’s security system when commencing/finishing a shift.
Essential Qualifications and Accreditations:
To be successful in this role, the following below is a mandatory requirement:
Has a skill level which assumes and requires knowledge, training or experience relevant to the duties to be performed however, highly desirable
Undergo a Medical Clearance with our partnering provider
Valid Working with Children Check
