Take on a key leadership role within our growing Learning Outcomes directorate. CSPD is currently recruiting for two distinct positions:
Senior Education Officer, Primary Education
Senior Education Officer, Secondary Education
In this role, you’ll drive system-wide improvements, mentor education teams, and lead initiatives that enhance learning and reflect our Catholic education mission.
Serving 80 Catholic schools and over 43,000 students across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, CSPD is committed to delivering high-quality, faith-based education that empowers every student to learn, grow, and thrive.
In this role, you will:
Provide strategic and expert guidance in curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment across secondary schools.
Lead the development and implementation of system-wide learning and teaching initiatives.
Mentor Education Officers in the design and delivery of evidence-based strategies to improve classroom practice.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality professional learning for teachers and middle leaders.
Apply research and CSPD strategy to develop practical tools, scalable programs, and high-impact resources.
Use data and research to evaluate program effectiveness and measure impact across schools.
Represent the Learning Outcomes directorate in senior-level working groups and strategy forums.
Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and the consistent implementation of learning programs across the system.
About You:
You are a collaborative, strategic, and experienced education leader who thrives on the opportunity to drive change. You have a deep understanding of curriculum and pedagogy, a passion for teacher development, and a commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
You will also bring:
Extensive experience in education and a strong track record in school or system-level leadership
Expertise in curriculum design, assessment, and contemporary pedagogical approaches
Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering effective professional learning
Strong mentoring and leadership skills, with the ability to build capacity in others
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
A strategic mindset, with the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate large-scale initiatives
Postgraduate qualifications in education or related areas
A strong alignment with the mission and values of Catholic education
What’s in it for you?
Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.

This position involves working with children and requires satisfactory employment screening (National Police Check, valid WWCC, and compliance with CSPD Child Safeguarding Procedures).
