Join St Joseph's Primary as an Instructional Coach

Join St Joseph's Primary in Kingswood as a dedicated Instructional Coach for a 12-month parental leave cover, starting in Term 4, 2025. We are a welcoming and supportive school that fosters kindness, positive choices, and a strong sense of community. Our professional staff provides innovative learning experiences in modern facilities designed to empower students to be independent and critical thinkers.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate Instructional Coach to foster collaborative leadership and evidence-based practices. In this role, you will be crucial in developing our teachers' professional skills to maximise their impact on student learning. This position attracts two coordinator points.

You will work closely with the leadership team and teachers to:

  • Provide in-situ support to K-2 teachers through co-planning, co-teaching, modeling, and providing explicit feedback.

  • Collaborate with teachers and leaders to analyse data, identify trends, and determine next steps for student and teacher learning.

  • Implement and evaluate the school's improvement plans, focusing on enhancing literacy and numeracy outcomes in K-2.

  • Facilitate professional learning sessions and participate in co-teaching and modeling within K-2 literacy and numeracy blocks.

About You

The ideal candidate will be an expert teacher with a proven track record of improving student outcomes. You will also have:

  • An accredited tertiary qualification in education.

  • The capacity to work collaboratively with other professionals to improve practice.

  • A valid NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) classification and a Working with Children Check.

  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning and a passion for building teacher capacity.
