Are you experienced in property development, town planning, or project feasibility—and ready to make your mark on Australia’s most exciting hospitality projects?

At Australian Venue Co., we’re redefining the pub and hospitality experience. With over 200 venues across Australia and New Zealand, we’re expanding fast—and we're on the hunt for an Assistant Development Manager to help drive the front-end development of our refurbishment and expansion projects.

Reporting to the Development Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind early-stage project planning. From feasibility and site analysis to planning approvals and consultant coordination, you’ll ensure our pipeline of venue projects is set up for success. You won’t be on-site managing builds—you’ll be unlocking opportunities, resolving early-stage hurdles, and aligning design direction with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead feasibility studies, due diligence, and site assessments

  • Translate operational and commercial briefs into early design direction

  • Manage planning submissions, council approvals, and consultant engagement

  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and external planning/design consultants

  • Support handover to project delivery teams, ensuring design intent is preserved

About You:

  • 3+ years’ experience in property development, town planning, or architectural project management

  • Strong knowledge of local planning frameworks and authority approval processes

  • Ability to assess feasibility models and contribute to business case development

  • Confident stakeholder manager with strong communication skills

  • Hospitality, retail, or commercial fit-out experience highly regarded
