The Waterloo Station Hotel is on the lookout for an experienced Venue Manager to lead our dynamic team. We are a full-throttle venue—massive Sports Bar, buzzing dining area, a laid-back beer garden, and South Australia’s number one gaming room. Built for punters, fans, and locals, this is a high-energy spot with something always on.

We're seeking a leader who is passionate about customer experience at a premium level. A leader who can execute activations, build strong relationships with patrons & the local community, loves a bit of footy, and is keen to develop their team.

As Venue Manager, you'll orchestrate the day-to-day operations of our multifaceted venue. We're in search of an individual with a proven track record in managing large-capacity venues, adept at team leadership, and skilled in cultivating and nurturing strong management teams.

Essential requirements:

  • 3+ years in a Venue Manager role
  • Have demonstrated experience operating a large-scale venue 
  • Strong background in Food & beverage
  • Strong background operating a large gaming venue 
  • Presence on the floor during peak service periods, including late nights and weekends
  • P&L understanding and ability to deep dive into financials 
  • Ability to generate revenue-building ideas throughout all aspects of the business
  • Write and control an effective roster for both front-of-house and back-of-house
  • Ability to stocktake and investigate stock loss
  • Order and maintain par levels within the beverage department, food department and venue consumables
  • Train, performance manage, and motivate staff
  • Provide revenue-generating ideas and work with the Marketing department to drive the business
  • Be able to implement and execute promotions throughout the business successfully
