We’re on the hunt for an experienced, dynamic Venue Manager to take the reins at Garden State Hotel – our sprawling, multi-level wonderland in the heart of Melbourne.

This bespoke, high-capacity venue is an institution of Melbourne’s hospitality scene, known for its grand tiered Beer Garden, award-winning Tippy Tay restaurant, and the Rose Garden Cocktail Bar. It’s a dynamic, high-energy environment that needs a leader who thrives on complexity, precision, and pace.

We’re looking for someone who’s walked the walk – someone with proven experience running large, fast-paced venues with multiple offerings. You’ll lead the day-to-day, drive service and performance standards, and develop a strong, high-functioning management team beneath you.

What's on Offer:

  • Generous Salary $115,000 - $120,000 + Super
  • Quarterly KPI Bonus - $44,000 P/A

Essential requirements:

  • 4+ years of Venue Management experience 
  • Experience working in an entertainment-focused venue
  • Extensive food & beverage product knowledge 
  • Experience in a high-turnover customer service environment
  • Proven capacity to manage large teams
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and strategic hospitality management
  • Demonstrated team and leadership skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and change
  • Have a market awareness and trend analysis relevant to food and beverage in the area & industry
  • Be able to implement and execute promotions throughout the business successfully
  • State-based qualifications, RSA
