About the Role
Contribute to the development of the relationship with and the engagement of employers and industry leaders in respect to Workers Compensation to achieve the established business objectives of Workers Compensation Segments. Build and maintain effective business relationships at executive and operational level to improve the overall retention and performance of employers in the Segment.

Duties
- Develop, maintain and manage highly effective business relationships with representatives of key employers in the segment.
- Provide tailored advisory services as part of our Customer Value Proposition that recognizes the various employer profiles and needs that exist within each segment
- Monitor portfolio performance via regular data analysis and proactively engage with employers and other stakeholders to report on employer and industry performance, supporting performance uplift and business sustainability. Ensure that relevant education is provided on the various premium products to provide premium clarity to assist employers to manage business risks and potential impacts that support early intervention and return to work, whilst reducing complaints
- Contribute to negotiations with the industry bodies on performance and strategic matters to ensure Scheme objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain specialist and technical expertise in insurance and claims management in the industry to support initiatives which drive performance improvement.
- Develop, monitor and manage effective knowledge and information sharing mechanisms between employees and icare and provide thought leadership in icare’s response to the employers’ concerns and complaints.
- Maintain an effective and appropriate degree of involvement in the day-to-day activities and interaction between claims managers, employers, brokers and the industry.
- Participate in and / or lead programs developed to support employer and industry initiatives.
- Support the Segments engagement team and develop relationships across icare and the Claims Service Providers to support the customers’ needs and icare’s deliverables. Share insights and feedback collected from external stakeholders to drive improvement across the icare service delivery model, and to improve the customer experience.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Workers Compensation or other relevant insurance products
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in account management or relationship management
- Demonstrated capabilities include:
- Strong communication / interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Desirable Skills - Tertiary qualification in a Health/ Business/ Financial related discipline.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in relevant fields of workers compensation and / or the general insurance industry.
