About the Role

Reporting into the Head of Leadership Development, the Leadership Development Lead will be accountable for supporting the collaborative implementation of our leadership development plan and initiatives across icare. This role will lead and provide advice on the implementation of solutions that are culturally aligned, best practice and provide continuous improvement, enabling us to strengthen our culture of collaboration, growth and achievement. The Leadership Development Lead role is a blend of contributing to strategy development, needs analysis, design, planning and project management, stakeholder management, consulting, facilitation, implementation, reporting and embedding behaviour change. This role also contributes to talent identification, development and succession initiatives across icare.  

The Opportunity

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same. As a Leadership Development Lead you will:

  • Collaborate with P&C Business Partners (BP’s) to set and agree with the leaders in the business an annual set of leadership development initiatives to be integrated into the people plan, with measures for progress.
  • Support leadership development planning initiatives through preparation of best practice research and guiding leaders and P&C BP’s in appropriate customised development of business unit planning.
  • Proactively create leadership development solutions aligned to our core capabilities and strategic measures.
  • Provide the business advice and solutions on appropriate leadership development solutions and support the implementation of customised solutions to teams and leaders.
  • Manage external provider relationships and procurement processes in line with icare guidelines to ensure return on investment and supplier performance.
  • Ensure leadership development data is maintained and updated in appropriate systems; and assist in the preparation of insights.
  • Support the talent management framework and continuous improvement of it, for icare.

Skills & Experience

  • A broad range of experience in culture and leadership development in organisations with diverse requirements.
  • Strong facilitation skills at all levels of leadership e.g. Group Executives, Senior and People Leader level.
  • Tertiary level qualifications (e.g. diploma or degree) in adult education or relevant people-oriented discipline, or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical experience.
  • Extensive experience with adult capability, leadership development, culture, talent development, recognition, engagement and diversity & inclusion and provision of advice to business stakeholders in an organisational setting.
  • Strong design skills using adult learning principles.
