About the Role
The Manager, Health, Safety & Wellbeing is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide work health, safety (WHS) and wellbeing systems that place people at the centre. This role ensures that physical, psychological and social wellbeing is embedded into the organisation’s culture, systems, and leadership practices through effective organisation/work design.

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Manager, Health, Safety & Wellbeing you will:
Work with the Head of People Care to develop and execute a contemporary, prevention-based WHS and wellbeing strategy aligned with organisational goals and values.
Oversee the design and implementation of best practice health, safety, and psychosocial risk management systems.
Lead a multidisciplinary approach to complex contemporary case management, including physical and psychological injury, critical incidents, and work reintegration.
Manage work and non work related illness or injury employee cases and provide proactive advice to the People and Culture Partnering team and people leaders, to resolve cases that reach a mutually agreeable outcome for the organisation and the employee.
Champion wellbeing, health and safety as shared leadership responsibilities across the organisation.
Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership and governance forums.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in WHS, allied health, or related field.
Strong understanding of work health and safety legislation, psychosocial risk management, and safe work design.
Strong data and analytical skills with experience in evaluating health and safety outcomes.
Exceptional communication and leadership capability with a compassionate, values-driven approach.
Proven experience in developing and implementing health, safety and wellbeing strategies to prevent harm and improve business outcomes.
Experience in government, healthcare, insurance, or other large highly-complex environments.
Demonstrated experience in complex WHS injury management and person-centred practice.
