  • Baseline salary of $ 201,867, open to negotiation based on skills & experience.

About the Role

Lead a team of architects and create a roadmap that evolves the architecture for icare in line with scheme strategies, focused digital and data domaines. Contribute to the planning, development and delivery of architecture changes and solution outcomes, supporting delivery for icare schemes while playing an end-to-end role in maintaining the enterprise architecture. Examples of schemes/business areas which are shared in the scope for this role are Lifetime Care, Worker's Compensation, General Lines, Home Building Construction Fund insurance, NSW Government self-insurance. The Enterprise Architect will also own a portfolio of applications that they lead design for and oversee from a governance perspective.

Duties

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as an Enterprise Architect you will:

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships and advocate for the enterprise's direction and capabilities with internal and external stakeholders to build trust in the enterprise architecture.
  • Develop, maintain and architectures for the business verticals and the digital and data domains of the enterprise architecture.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining the Digital, Data, Technology and Security strategies to build and maintain the architectural roadmap in line with icare’s strategy.
  • Guide the strategic decision-making for architecture process via the options provided and a pragmatic lens of value delivered and cost.
  • Review and revise cost-benefit analyses, risk analyses and development plans to consider in design decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across icare to provide a high-level and inclusive vision of the enterprise solutions in line with business needs and initiatives.
  • Analyse technical options and recommend technology solutions that support the business teams.
  • Provide internal consultancy on architectural issues, including the provision of recommendations and solutions which are both technically and commercially sound.
  • Develop and implement architectural standards for the organisation aligned to and supports the delivery of icare's technology strategy.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain architectural processes, governance and procedures to improve the effective, efficient, and consistent delivery of services.
  • Engage and guide Platform and Solution Architects to ensure alignment across enterprise, platform and solution architectures.
  • Mentor and guide staff
  • Lead the icare Architecture Community of Practice in conjunction with the Head of Architecture and other Enterprise Architect

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in digital and data software including Sitecore, Salesforce, Snowflake, Mulesoft and custom React / node JS important
  • Comfortable working on large-scale implementation projects in a matrix organisation
  • Hands-on experience with technical team leadership and team management in an Agile environment
  • Familiar with application design, development, and maintenance
  • Exposure to design patterns, refactoring concepts, unit tests, and CI/CD
  • Conceptual understanding of solutions designed and developed for large cloud computing infrastructures like AWS.
  • Knowledge of software engineering methodologies, reporting tools, process flows, data flows, traceability matrices, modelling, and testing strategies
