About the role

As the Safety Engagement Coordinator, you will support the rollout of critical scopes of work relating to our National Group Safety strategy.  This is a national role, reporting to the Group Safety Manager, with the option to be based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne. 

You will assist with:

  • Organising and facilitating pre- and post- audit meetings with site teams, ensuring audit actions are transferred to critical audit matters in accordance with the reporting protocol.
  • Supporting BMD reporting obligations to all stakeholders, including site teams, and BMD Senior Leaders
  • Be involved in the development and deployment of dedicated Dashboards, using PowerBI.
  • Coordinating and delivering meaningful and impactful workshops nationally (interstate travel will be required)
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Deployment of the national safety strategy actions and improvements.

Skills and experience

  • Solid understanding of stakeholder engagement strategies, best practices, and processes
  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills, with an eye for detail
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to leverage tools for reporting (PowerBI) and creating dynamic engagement experiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Confidence in navigating and engaging with both internal and external partners
  • A team-oriented mindset, with a track record of contributing to collective success
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, communications, social science, or similar field
