The Role:
We are looking for a Risk Manager to join our high performing project team, based on our site office of a major infrastructure project. You will establish and manage the project risk processes, planning and monitoring performance to deliver on time and on budget in accordance with the project's procedures and processes over the full project lifecycle. Drawing on your ability to influence across all levels, you will ensure governance and risk processes are followed, with tasks including:
- Upholding the delegation of authority matrix
- Ensuring the governance structure, the risk management plan and governance management plan are adhered to
- Delivering risk and opportunity workshops where risks are identified
- Ensuring management plans are implemented and updated as required
- Ensuring audits are conducted and facilitated
- Interface with the project team, including the client, and alliance partners for management of the planning function in accordance with established procedures.
- Embedding governance and risk into each discipline of the project
- Early identification and communication of issues and opportunities to the project.
- Provide or source training and provide guidance to other departmental leads in the use of risk systems, project monitoring & controls and the interpretation of data and information generated.
- Implement project risk monitoring systems, particularly focussing on time, cost, resources & quality. Ensure that reports generated across project(s) provide maximum certainty for project.
- Lead Project & Operations Managers in report interpretation, analysis of project performance, forward planning and development of corrective actions to maximise project delivery outcomes.
Who we're looking for:
- Tertiary degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines – Commercial, Engineering, Construction or Project Management, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of ISO31000 and proven experience in working to the ISO standard
- Demonstrated experience implementing risk management processes and running risk workshops.
- Experience in Construction, Engineering, Planning and Project Controls and Governance.
- Experience in the planning process and the use of risk management.
- Use of planning software & tools such as Primavera Project Planning, Time Chainage Charts, Schedule Risk Analysis, Program Forensic Analysis, Earned Value and Cash Flow Analysis.
- Multi-disciplined project planning experience.
- Experience in managing planning of major projects and tenders.
- Ability to take ownership of the role and demonstrate commercial acumen in decision making.
