About the role

As the HSEQ Business Transformation Lead you will act as a key liaison between business units and the digital project team to ensure alignment of transformation initiatives with operational needs. This is a project role for approximately 12months, reporting to the Group Safety Manager, with the option to be based in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth or Melbourne. 

You will join the HSEQ business transformation project team of 6 staff and:

• Provide expert insights into HSEQ processes and systems, contributing to the design and implementation of digital solutions that enhance safety, quality, and environmental outcomes.
• Co-ordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by organising users, test scenarios, validating functionality, and ensuring business requirements are met.
• Assist in the deployment and rollout of new HSEQ applications, including change management, training, and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead the champion and superuser network for HSEQ digital transformation within the business, promoting adoption and continuous improvement across teams.
• Leverage understanding of BMD’s operational landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and process optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, gather feedback, and refine solutions post-implementation.
• Maintain documentation and provide ongoing support to ensure successful integration of new systems into daily operations.
• Identify and confirm data migration needs for in-flight projects as a part of the rollout process

Skills and experience

  • Certificate or tertiary qualification in WHS, Business, Change Management or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of our HSEQ systems 
  • A collaborative spirit with the ability to contribute to impactful initiatives
  • Solid understanding of stakeholder engagement strategies, best practices, and processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical detail into plain language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Confidence in navigating and engaging with both internal and external partners
