Who we’re looking for:

We are currently seeking resource sector experienced Workshop Supervisor to be site based on large scale resource construction projects in Western Australia on a FIFO arrangement. You will use your trusted leadership and communication skills to quickly and effectively build relationships across all levels of our projects, including with subcontractors. You will motivate others, ensuring a high-performing culture where teamwork ensures the delivery of exceptional quality outcomes to program.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for job allocation, workflow within workshop and laydown yard including the management labour and scheduling
  • Oversee preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance for light and heavy vehicles
  • Manage and assist office staff with quoting, purchasing & ordering of materials & supplies 
  • Alert management to both scheduled and un-scheduled downtime of key pieces of machinery & plant
  • Continued development of a skilled group of personnel working as a team to achieve our outputs

 

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:

  • Relevant Trade Qualifications
  • In-depth understanding of various heavy earthmoving machinery and ancillary plant
  • Extensive knowledge of safety and mining regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity 
  • Mechanical knowledge to a level of understanding equipment capabilities, maintenance scheduling and preventative maintenance method
  • Excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do

 

You may also have the following additional desirable qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Engineering
  • LV or HV trade qualified
