About the role: 

BMD are seeking a Project Engineer with project experience specific to Water/WasteWater Treatment Plants, underbores, HDD or underground piping.

The basic objective of the Project Engineer is to report to the Project Manager and support and manage project supervisory and engineering staff to ensure project delivery in accordance with the quality, time, production, safety and environmental objectives of the company and the project.

The project engineer is responsible for programming of projects, administration of the contract, and compilation of claims, variations, valuation and cost reviews with the assistance of the Superintendent so as to be able to notify parties in breach and enable methods to bring on track.

Skills and experience:

  • Project engineering experience working for reputable contractors.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Drawings, Specifications and Quality, OH&S, and Environmental requirements for all site related activities
  • Experience in Pre-Contracts will be highly regarded.
  • Experience working on water/wastewater, underbores, HDD, underground piping projects will be highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Confidence actively participating and liaising with multiple disciplinary teams, project managers, clients, superintendents and consultants
