 Who we’re looking for:

As part of the finance team as a Tax Accountant, you'll collaborate closely with the Senior Tax Accountant and Tax Manager to deliver comprehensive tax and accounting services for the business. In this role, you’ll play a key part in our month-end and year-end tax processes, taking on responsibilities that include: 

• Preparing and lodging income tax, FBT and GST returns
• Preparing and submitting tax journals
• Assisting with general ledger reconciliations of tax accounts
• Reviewing transactional data for tax implications
• Assisting with providing taxation advice to the wider business
• Assisting with providing in-house training
• Contributing to improving tax processes
• Other ad hoc tasks as required.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:

• Degree in Commerce or Business with major in Accounting and/or Tax
• Obtained or is committed to obtaining a CA / CPA qualification
• Previous experience in FBT, GST and income tax is desirable
• Attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• High work standard and work ethic
• Confident with vagueness and uncertainty, but is committed to continuous improvement
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships across different functions in the business
• Maintain the BMD culture
