About the role: 

We are looking for a payroll professional to join our Payroll & Human Resources team, based in our Port of Brisbane office. In this role, you will use your excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with people at all levels across the BMD Group nationally. You will support the operational requirements of the business, using your attention to detail to deliver the end to end processing of BMD's monthly and weekly payroll. Your daily tasks will include :

  • Assist the team to systematically enter and review timesheet data of 1000+staff 
  • Interpretation of awards and legislation as and when required
  • Processing month end payments (union dues, income protection, redundancy funds etc.)
  • Maintaining accurate personal records

About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar payroll/accounting role
  • Civil construction industry experience highly regarded
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV software highly regarded
  • Ability to adapt and problem solve in a dynamic team environment
  • Ability to work in a high volume, processing environment with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with a passion for numbers
