About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planner to join our WA construction division, based out of our Perth office with occasional site deployment. This dynamic role supports both pre-contracts and project delivery by providing expert planning input across the full project lifecycle. As a Planner, you will work closely with senior leaders, tender teams, and delivery teams to develop and maintain detailed construction programs, determine methodologies, assess project risks, and contribute to winning bids and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tender documents to understand scope, contract requirements, and scheduling constraints.
  • Develop, optimise, and maintain detailed and fully resourced programs using software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
  • Collaborate with estimators, engineers, and delivery teams to define construction methodologies and sequences.
  • Participate in post-tender negotiations and support project handover from tender to delivery.
  • Monitor project progress using earned value and KPI-based reporting, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Analyse time impacts and assist in the preparation of extension of time claims or delay analyses.
  • Provide mentoring and training on planning and programming practices across project teams.
  • Stay current with planning software advancements and best practices to continuously improve outcomes.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or a related discipline is essential
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present programming data to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in construction planning within civil infrastructure, water, defence, or resource/mining sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and strong Excel skills.
  • Sound understanding of construction methodologies, contract management principles, and project controls.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
