About the role 
The BMD Urban Victoria division delivers a diverse range of projects for both private and public sector clients across roads and infrastructure, urban development, water and wastewater, utilities and renewables. Our diverse expertise spans across earthworks, roadworks, concrete pavements and trunk and reticulated underground and overhead utilities.

This role will support the Safety Coordinator and Project Managers in the running of the BMD Group Safety, Environment and Quality Systems across project sites in Victoria. This will involve:

  • Promoting the development and implementation of safety, environmental and quality standards that address all compliance and due diligence requirements.
  • Conducting safety, environmental and quality audits and inspections.
  • Preparing reports for senior management.
  • Assisting with education and training of BMD staff in the areas of safety, environmental and quality systems.
  • Preparing work method statements, project plans, and inspection and test plans.
  • Developing and implementing system changes and improvements.

 

About you 

  • Qualification in work health and safety (minimum of Cert IV).
  • Qualification in training and assessment desirable.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry highly regarded
  • Current knowledge of legislation, standards, and industry requirements.
