About the Role

BMD is in a significant growth phase with a strong pipeline of projects in hand and as a result, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Constructions business unit based out of Brisbane.

This role will initially start in Pre-Contracts assisting with project bids across transport, defence and renewable energy sectors. Upon award, the role would transition into a delivery-based role either in Brisbane or across Queensland. 

You will provide onsite engineering services and technical support to fearlessly strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements. Drawing on your learnings from a successful career in civil infrastructure project delivery, you will be self-motivated to mentor Site Engineers and Graduates to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Preferably 4+ years’ onsite experience on infrastructure projects
• Passionate about excellent health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes
• Motivation to achieve value-for-money results.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities which allow for mentoring of Site Engineers and Graduates to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges
• Provide onsite engineering services and technical support to fearlessly strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements
