The Role

BMD is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Supervisor to join our team delivering critical civil infrastructure works at Melbourne Airport. This role involves overseeing airside construction activities including pavement rehabilitation, trenching, lighting conduit installation, and general civil works in a high-security operational environment.

You’ll be responsible for leading site teams, ensuring safety and quality, and coordinating with airport stakeholders to deliver works efficiently and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities across airside and landside civil works.
• Manage subcontractors and direct labour to meet productivity and safety targets.
• Ensure compliance with airside access protocols, environmental plans, and client standards.
• Coordinate with airport operations to minimise disruption and meet scheduling requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and daily pre-starts.
• Monitor progress, quality, and safety across multiple work fronts.

About You

• Proven experience supervising civil infrastructure projects, ideally in airport or transport environments.
• Strong understanding of airside safety, environmental compliance, and stakeholder coordination.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including night shifts and staged works.
• White Card, RIW, and relevant tickets (e.g., plant, traffic control).
• Airside pass or ability to obtain one.
