Job Summary and role description

This is a full-time role for a Consultant Senior Engineer based in Plymouth. The Consultant will provide technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice in a Client facing civil construction role, personally demonstrating a positive culture including key values & behaviours of Safety and Quality.

Daily tasks include:

· Manage the delivery of the main works and the activities of the works contractor.

· Regular communication and reporting to multiple stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of projects.

· Conducting site evaluations, developing project plans, providing technical expertise, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

· Manage various project reviews of design drawings, models, technical specifications, etc.

· Assess relevant risks and opportunities associated with the development and delivery of works.

· Contribution to development of P6 programme, budget forecasts, and ensure compliance to relevant Health and Safety legislation.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

· Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in a Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)

· 3+ years of site experience

· IT skills including MS Office

· Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills

· Due to the nature of the work and location, a BPSS level of security clearance is necessary. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports can be considered for this role.

Desirable

· CSCS

· SMSTS

· BIM / Digital including Autodesk and /or Bentley

· Scheduling in Aphex, P6 etc

· An awareness of the procurement process
