About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Advisor to support the delivery of strategic engagement and communications activities for this project. You’ll play a vital role in building trusted relationships with local communities, government agencies, and key stakeholders to ensure transparent and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement project communication plans as required by client specifications.
  • Produce communication collateral including newsletters, notifications, web updates, and social media content.
  • Maintain and manage the stakeholder database (Consultation Manager).
  • Organise and take minutes for stakeholder meetings, workshops, and consultations to gather feedback and provide updates.
  • Plan and coordinate stakeholder engagement activities such as public consultations, community pop-ups, and other events.
  • Create and maintain community awareness and positive project visibility throughout delivery.

  • Respond to community complaints and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and project teams to ensure community perspectives are considered and integrated throughout project delivery.
  • Translate complex project information into clear, accessible communications for impacted communities.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and communications—ideally within infrastructure, construction, or transport projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and manage competing priorities in a project-driven environment.
  • A proactive, community-minded approach to stakeholder engagement.
