We’re seeking a commercially astute and entrepreneurial Chief Investment Officer to establish and lead the investment and capital strategy for BMD Investments Limited, a newly created private capital platform focused on land and property development.

Based in Brisbane or Sydney, this foundation executive role will be instrumental in building BMD’s investment capability from the ground up. You’ll shape strategy, create investment vehicles, lead capital raising initiatives, and engage directly with sophisticated investors across wholesale, institutional, and private markets.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, you’ll work in close partnership with the CFO and COO to originate, assess, and execute development investment opportunities that align with BMD’s long‑term growth strategy. This is a hands‑on role suited to a leader who thrives in building platforms, influencing stakeholders, and driving commercial outcomes.

You’ll apply your expertise to:

• Develop and execute BMD Investments’ end‑to‑end capital and investment strategy
• Lead capital raising across wholesale, high‑net‑worth, institutional and private markets
• Design, structure and launch funds, trusts, SPVs and bespoke investment vehicles
• Oversee deal origination, financial modelling, due diligence and investment approvals
• Build and manage strong investor relationships, reporting frameworks and governance
• Monitor portfolio performance, optimise returns and manage risk across active vehicles

This role is critical to establishing BMD Investments as a trusted private capital partner and delivering sustainable, long‑term value for investors and the broader BMD Group.

The successful candidate will be a self‑starter with:

• 10+ years’ senior experience in investment management, property funds or capital markets
• Proven success in capital raising and investor engagement
• Strong experience structuring and managing property‑focused investment vehicles
• Advanced financial modelling, commercial and governance capability
• An entrepreneurial mindset and confidence operating in a newly created environment
