About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated Human Resources Advisor with 2–4 years’ experience to support our high‑performing team in Perth. In this role, you’ll assist with delivering day‑to‑day human resources and industrial relations activities, helping to maintain compliance, contribute to a positive workforce culture, and support overall project success. Working closely with the Project HR/IR Manager, project leadership and site teams, you will play a key role in implementing HR and IR processes aligned with BMD’s values and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the end‑to‑end recruitment process for white‑collar roles, including advertising, screening, coordinating interviews, reference checks, and preparing offer documentation under the guidance of the Project HR/IR Manager.
• Assist the Human Resources Manager with industrial relations activities by preparing documentation, gathering information, and supporting low‑risk IR matters.
• Provide first‑level support and advice to BMD management regarding employee relations queries, transfers, and retention matters, escalating complex issues where required.
• Coordinate staff relocations in conjunction with the Travel and Procurement team, ensuring smooth mobilisation and demobilisation processes.
• Assist with drafting, reviewing, and updating corporate policies and procedures as directed.
• Participate in annual university career fairs and support broader early‑talent engagement activities.
• Carry out generalist HR duties and project‑based support as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.

• Participate in company initiatives, engagement activities, and project‑specific programs as required.
• Perform other duties as directed from time to time to support project and business needs.
• Willingness to travel interstate if and when required.
• Uphold and promote the BMD culture, values, and behavioural expectations in all interactions.

Essential Skills & Experience 

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to accept delegated tasks and take on responsibilities with a positive, proactive attitude.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative and HR tasks.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
• Capable of working efficiently in a high‑volume, fast‑paced project environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to high‑quality work standards and a professional work ethic.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence interacting professionally with employees, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to positive working relationships on site.
