About the Role

BMD is in a significant growth phase with a strong pipeline of projects in hand and as a result, we are looking for a Project Engineer to oversee a structures package of works as part of the Darwin Ship lift project. 

This project operates under a 15 day on/15 day off FIFO roster from Brisbane. Flights, meals, camp accommodation and project uplift provided. 

You will provide comprehensive onsite engineering services and technical leadership to fearlessly strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements. Drawing on your learnings from a successful career in civil infrastructure project delivery, you will be self-motivated to mentor Site Engineers and Graduates to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Preferably 4+ years’ onsite experience on infrastructure projects - Ideally covering a structures or marine structures scope
• Passionate about excellent health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes
• Motivation to achieve value-for-money results.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities which allow for mentoring of Site Engineers and Graduates to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges
• Provide onsite engineering services and technical support to fearlessly strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements
