About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to provide expert environmental guidance and leadership across infrastructure construction projects and operations in South Australia. This site-based role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, driving best‑practice environmental management, and supporting the delivery of sustainable outcomes.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager and Project Manager, you will partner closely with project teams, regulators and stakeholders, offering practical advice while maintaining high environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental impact assessments, approvals and compliance activities
  • Provide environmental advice and support to the project team, subcontractors and stakeholders
  • Develop, review and implement Environmental Management Plans and procedures
  • Liaising with regulators, consultants and clients as required
  • Preparing environmental reports, records and documentation
  • Supporting a culture of environmental awareness and continuous improvement on site

About You

You are a proactive and confident environmental professional with strong technical capability and the ability to influence at all levels.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in an environmental advisory role, ideally within infrastructure, construction, energy or mining
  • Strong knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing environmental approvals and compliance obligations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work autonomously in a construction site‑based environment
