About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to play a key leadership role in the successful delivery of the Tonkin Highway Extension in Byford.

In this role, you will take ownership of key project elements, overseeing quality assurance, procurement, subcontractor management and project delivery outcomes. Working closely with Project Managers and site teams, you will provide high-level technical expertise, drive performance, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.

You will be instrumental in mentoring engineers, contributing to planning and programming, and proactively identifying and resolving complex engineering challenges. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, this role offers ongoing opportunities across major infrastructure projects in both metropolitan and regional locations.

Skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role on infrastructure projects
• Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring junior engineers
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to manage project delivery in line with safety, environmental, quality and contractual requirements
• Commercial awareness and a focus on delivering value-for-money outcomes
• A proactive mindset with the ability to solve complex engineering challenges
